@LaMamaNaturale asked: What is your best money saving green tip?

Mine: Make your own household cleaners and beauty care products!

the twitterverse answered:

@mightymarce HAND-ME-DOWNS! We’ve got a group of moms w/ babies, the clothes go from one house to the next as needed.

@Luna_Diva Switch to Lunapads and the DivaCup instead of disposable pads & tampons. Save $, greener, happier! www.lunapads.com

@SweetHomeBirth 2 best money saving green tips: breastfeeding & cloth diapering.

@donielle Other than cleaners – don’t use paper products! We don’t use paper towels, plates, etc. Oh and use cloth diapers!!

@uprisenuplift best money saving green tip: Grow your own herbs, veggies, and fruits ;p

@MyGreenSide Save $$, don’t use chemicals on ur lawn! You’ll be helping ur children, pets, neighbors & our planet live a healthier life.

@NatureDeva eat vegan foods instead of meat.

@Luvschweetheart Making my own laundry det. & cleaning supplies, buying kids clothes 2nd hand – already soft & cozy that way.

@Peppersantblai wow, difficult question…lots, garden grown by cuttings of plants,me & my family eating the weeds in the paths & driveways…

@BellaBlua My favorite green tip is boiling a lemon on the stove to make your house smell fresh, instead of using air fresheners =)

    This is awesome!

My tip is to cook from scratch! It’s even a bigger deal when you eat mostly organically.

Natural childbirth! Even better when it is at home! Less cost, no drugs, less waste. And then of course breastfeed!
