Over the weekend I was searching for a dress to wear to the upcoming baby shower. I’m trying to stick to my green visions for this year! I don’t want to buy a new dress so I’m looking all over town at my local thrift stores for a long comfy dress- empire waisted preferred. I’d also like it to have a retro feel.
A new Goodwill in town opened up and while perusing their knick knack selection (yes, I was sidetracked) I found the cup pictured above. I had Mr. Tristar with me and they didn’t have carts. He was starting to get ancy so we looked at books and upon walking over to that section the message on the cup caught my attention. I was thrilled to see it and just had to buy it for 99 cents. It’s brand new and it will serve as my tea cup! It wasn’t what I was looking for- I know- but I justified the action by only walking out with the cup.
I looked through their dress selection and saw a really cute dress but the size was too small. I’m hoping that I’ll find something before Sunday rolls around. Tomorrow is my 36 week appointment in Venice with the Midwive’s and Aardvark’s (vintage thrift shop) is right down the street. I’m going to take a peek in there after the appointment and hopefully I’ll find something that will work.
Tomorrow, I’ll also be taking a sidetrip and visiting my grandparents. My grandma recently had back surgery and since I have to pick up Tyler in Pasadena from work anyway it’s a great excuse to visit them. I wish I was so much closer. I love visiting them and they love the company. Plus, they have lemon trees in there backyard so I’m taking a bucket with me to fill up and bring home. I need some lemons for the shower Lemonade and Labor Aid Tea. My sis also put in a request for a few. We grew up eating lemons with sugar or salt. Yum.
The time change was great for us because now Tristan sleeps in an hour later than normal. It’s great!!!
We had a great weekend and managed to stay productive. Today, I’m going to clean out my fridge and do a few other things around the house. I’ve pretty much taken care of everything I wanted to before the arrival of Baby Clark. Now I just need to keep up with it. I washed the curtains over the weekend and boy does that truly make a huge difference!!! Oh! and we know have a working shower. Tyler has been remodeling our bathroom and we’ve only had a tub and toilet- all of the tile work is done and we have a shower with actual shower doors…it’s awesome! I’ll share pics when it’s completely finished.
Hope you all had a great weekend.
We’re you effected by the time change? Did you find any great deals?

The time change is killing me! I do like the fact that the kids sleep in longer, but I feel like sleeping in longer too!
