I’m a jean junkie! Plain and simple. I love jeans. I’ve worn the heck of most of the jeans I own. A few of the jeans I own are from thrift stores and happen to be some my favorites. I don’t mind if they’re holey, faded or patched! Jeans are my comfort wear!

My mom once told me jeans can be worn more than once. So, I wear a pair of jeans up to a week  sometimes. I think the more worn in they are the better! They become you’re best friends. Besides,  I like know I’m saving a little water and soap while I’m re wearing! Anytime is a good time to wear a pair of jeans and one day that I’ll get the opportunity to buy a pair of organic jeans:)

Did you know that you know that jeans- aka denim, is being used in sustainable building?

That’s right! Denim is the perfect eco insulation vs. it’s ugly competitor fiberglass.

Neat, right?! I think so.

So, why not recycle your jeans and have them turned into insulation…

You have a chance to do so before the month ends for the Fair Indigo Denim Drive!

The goal this year is to collect 50o pairs of jeans by October 31st- which happens to be enough insulation for one home!

If you want to participate, simply -

Ship them to:
Fair Indigo Denim Drive
c/o Green Jeans Insulation Inc.
5821 Femrite Dr.
Madison, WI 53718

TIP:
USPS flat-rate boxes are usually the cheapest option and you can split the cost of shipping by getting your friends involved.

& check it out! If you happen to live in Madison, Wisconsin-drop your jeans off at our Hilldale store.:
570 N. Midvale Blvd., Madison, WI 53705
(608) 661-7662

Who is Fair Indigo?

Fair Indigo is proud to partner with Cotton Incorporated for their annual COTTON. FROM BLUE TO GREEN.® denim drive. Once collected, the donated jeans are converted into UltraTouch™ Natural Cotton Fiber Insulation – an eco-friendly home insulation product manufactured by Bonded Logic, Inc. The insulation is then donated to communities in need to assist in their building efforts.

Since its inception in 2006 the COTTON. FROM BLUE TO GREEN.® denim drive has generated over 185,000 square feet of eco-friendly UltraTouch™ insulation and it has been installed in over 18Jeans 0 new homes in the Gulf Coast region through Habitat for Humanity affiliates!

™Change the World- One Pair of Jeans at a Time.

I know there’s a pair in my closet somewhere getting dusty- and I KNOW my husband has more than a few pairs. I find much joy in thinking that one day my future home could be insulated from recycled jeans.

Now, humor me—–> How many times have you re worn your jeans?

The luxury and comfort of UGG? Australia proved to be a perfect fit for the high-end footwear world and soon Nordstrom had become the destination for UGG? Australia. The media reach expanded into more and more high-end magazine titles. The business continued to grow steadily as UGG? Australia reached beyond the beaches of California to New York City – and beyond.
