We hit the motherload today (it’ll probably be tomorrow, Sunday by the time I get this finished)! On our way to pick up the tables and chairs from my mom’s work for the shower tomorrow, we passed a garage sale just up our street. The sale had a glider, dresser changing table combo with hutch, and a highchair. Each item was in good condition. A few dings on the dresser changing table and a broken front on the last drawer of the dresser that my husband can easily fix.  We aren’t planning to use the hutch right away because the organic changing pad we have is a bit too big…and it gets squished when the hutch is on top. Besides that we weren’t planning on getting a hutch version. We put it in our garage and will use it later.

The glider was hardly used and same goes for the Eddie Bauer highchair. We bought the highchair for my parents house. Tristan usually sits on top of the table when he’s being babysat or on our laps when we eat as a family. It was time he get a highchair- plus, Baby Clark will need a highchair at some point while he’s visiting over with G-Ma and G-Pa and by that time Tristan will either be in a booster. After we unloaded our treasure I needed to drop off Tyler at his parents so he could help with a few things for the baby Clark’s shower. On our way there, we saw sign for a garage sale that said “Baby stuff, good condition”.

We took off in that direction and whatta ya know…there’s a swing in the driveway. I really want the organic Kanoe baby hammock but it’s just not in our budget at the moment. Maybe, further down the road. Swings are usually only good up to 3 months and the Kanoe is good up to 35 pounds! It’s definitely still on my list. Needless to say, we bought the swing. It’s a Rainforest, Fisher Price Version.

We saved a ton of cash in our garage sale shopping spree. I feel so good about all the goods we bought and can’t believe it all came together for us. I’ve been looking around at garage sales for the last few weeks…plus, put in ad in Freecycle and checked Craiglist. Nothing. Today, was our lucky day. I’m so happy and grateful for these items!!! It’s exciting.

Here’s a breakdown in retail value:

- Dresser Changing Table Combo, (top hutch included) retail value: $350.00

- Stegman Glider $300.00

- Eddie Bauer Highchair $ 120.00

- Rainforest Fisher Price Open Top Cradle Swing (Deluxe) $140

Total: $910.00

We paid $160.00 dollars for all! We saved $750.00… SWEET DEAL, huh!?!

It’s new-used- quality products and for what we paid…I’d say we did good. I’m super stoked.

I didn’t take the other pics because we took the highchair to my parents already and put the swing out in the kids room and I’m not making the treck outside to take a photo right now. We have a backhouse that we’ve turned into the kids room and put it in there earlier. Maybe, I’ll post a pic later this week. I’m sure you’ll take my word for it. ;)
