Hello there! Me again. Changes are in progress here at RYD and I’m really excited. Soon you will be too!
Going green is on the brain 24/7! Since it’s always on the brain and I always have ideas swirling around…
I’m going to start sharing tibits of juicy information with you all in one post. This helps alleviate some of my anxiety on trying to bring you rockin’ green news on the daily! So, I’ve started a new series here at RYD called {tibits of green}! Lots of tidbits here and there and everywhere to bring you weekly.
I haven’t decided if I want to do this on Thursday’s on Wednesday’s with Wordless Wednesday. I will also be starting a Mr. Linky here as well for WW and Meatless Monday’s. This way other’s can participate too. I may even start a forum…but one thing at time my pretties!
Without further ado…

:::racking brain:::
….///…///…/// here goes…
Yesterday, I made pumpkin scones using the homemade puree we had from our pumpkins! Take my word for it; they are the perfect accompianment to a cup or tea or coffee. A hub pleaser too!
If you feel like trying out some raw goodies for kicks and giggles because you know you’re curious..
Want chocolate chip cookies in 15 minutes with NO OVEN REQUIRED?! The Pure2Raw twins have a recipe you’ll want to check out!
I’ve been making this avocado pudding for Tristan at lunch time and he looooves it! Sheri at Green and Crunchy shares her raw vegan adventures with her 4 kids and it’s very inspiring. Check out what she has in her fridge. I’m jealous. Someday I want my fridege to look that way!
{America Recycles Day} is this Sunday, November 15th! Be sure to check out their event calendar to find out what’s happening in your area! So far nothing is going on locally. Next year, I’m hoping to coordinate something for my town. This year has been too crazy hectic. Better planning for 2010! Be sure to check back here on Sunday because the Green Mom’s Carnival will be taking place and you won’t want to miss out on what other green mama’s are saying about the 3R’s!R
Received my Retro Razor in the mail- that’s right ladies- green shaving is where it’s at! Move over Venus & Mach 3 it’s about to get vintage up in here.
Speaking of going back to basics and clearing out the pesky plastic. I’ve got another {Simple & Green} recipe for you that has had me humming all week. I feel like I’ve been channeling Molly Shannon from the movie Superstar when she tucks her hands under her pits and quickly brings them back out and sniff’s them! LOL! I’ll share my secret with you later! (No pun intended).
Local elections just passed and just before they did I kept thinking about all the waste they create. After reading a post by Tiffany at Nature Mom’s about reusing them for birthday signs I picked one sign up off the corner of our street and can’t wait to gather more for this cool reusable idea!! Perfect for birthday parties or garage sales even!
I love this post by BackyardMama! We pretty have the same reasons!!
It’s flu season… have you ever wondered about germs lingering in the grocery store? More specifically, the produce section- EWWW! I have! My post the other day about buying local produce affirms the reasons why my family should continue to do so in this post at Kristen’s Raw. She also highlights a super cool organic online grocery store that delivers nationwide! Oh! and before I forget I made her date paste last week. I’ve been using it in green smoothies and pudding.
First Lady, Michelle Obama guest stars on Sesame Street, Tuesday for their 40th birthday and she’s talking veggies! Happy birthday Sesame Street!
15 DAYS LEFT TO SEAL THE DEAL! Be part of the message for Climate Change. Sign the UN Climate Petition and become a citizen of Hopenhagen!!
Keep Keeping America Green! A lovely article written by Wendy Gabriel at Twilight Earth.
Green Baby Guide has saved me an entire post by writing about Home Depot and LED X-Mas lights! Saw this on the news the other night…
Little by little we have sorted through and organized our outbuilding to make it a functional schoolroom, playroom, office and a place where I can sew!! I can’t wait to start sewing again! It’s been far too long. Anyway, we are planning to paint it in a few weeks and I’ve been checking out eco-friendly paints online. I think I found a company that has what I’m looking for- more on that later!
I’m also thinking about summarizing up chapters from the book Green For Life- I’ve been slacking on reading. I figured it might be a fun way to share the book?!!
What do you think?? What would you like to see more of here at RYD?
Don’t be shy- spill the beans!!! I just did!
