This is a wonderful post. You are right about starting small. I’ve seen to many people get burned out by trying to much at once.

If everyone took just five minutes to examine their lifestyle, they’d be amazed at how easy it would be to find one or two simple steps they could take to conserve resources. They’d save money, too. Time is often such a factor in the choices we make, isn’t it? Slowing down – conserving the time we have and putting it to the best possible use — is probably the first real step towards conservation any of us should take.

I’m totally anal about turning off lights. But I live with an awesome guy who just leaves a trail of burning lights in his wake. Often, I come home to find every light in the house on and him asleep on the couch. *Sigh* We do what we can.

I like that conservation is part of a movement. For those who step up and participate they get to be part of something! The cumulative effect really does add up!

Oh do take out the front lawn! We did and never looked back. Just today a friend commented how beautiful my edible front yard/pollinator garden is. I love it!
