I’m still in shock. I’m still can’t believe we’re having another baby and that I’m going to be nursing and starting the basic baby needs all over again. I’m happy about it but it also makes me nervous. Why? Because I’m going to be a mother of two. It’s going to be a juggling act for awhile but soon after I’ll get the hang of it. Or at least cope! Right??!! LOL! I think as it nears closer and closer it becomes more real to Tyler and I. I’m anxious to hold Clark close in my arms, smell him up, snuggle with him and give him big kisses just as I did with Tristan!
I’m going to keep this update short…
I feel great. I have Braxton Hicks contractions almost daily about 3-4 times a day. Funny feeling! They make me feel like it could be the “Big One” anytime. Little teasers from the body- preparing to do it’s thing. I don’t crave anything abnormal…just eat healthy and eat a lot! I do especially like avocados, pineapples and hummus with pita chips right now! Lemonade and water are my quenchers.
We are pretty much ready to go as far as a homebirth goes. Which by the way, I wrote a post about it here.
It’s coming down to the wire and I do believe we have most of our ducks lined up. My pelvis is pretty sore at this point especially after sitting for a long period of time. A few bets are standing on my side and Tyler’s side as to when I’m gonna *POP* and I have a strong suspicion that it’ll be at the end of March. They’re saying March 20th or 22nd. I think it’s funny to guess. I hope I don’t go over but it could happen. If it does I’m totally okay with that. It just means I’m one day closer to having Baby Clark.
Lot’s of kicking and pitter pats going on. Not to mention LOTS of visits to the bathroom The Baby Olympics is taking place and he’s preparing for the labor and birth. Our last appt. our midwife was pretty surprised to find out when she felt Clark’s position that he’s engaged. She went on to say that most 2nd time moms don’t engage this early. Clark is in position and ready to go!
Check out this article/video on circumcision….in case you may have wondered….we ARE NOT going to circumcise Baby Clark…we did not circumcise Tristan either. The AMA does not think of it as a recommended procedure and neither do I. I made my decision after watching the DVD, Birth As We Know It and from what we learned in Bradley. The answer was clear after watching the DVD.
It’s 11:39 PM PST, and I need to be in bed… I didn’t get a chance to post until late today so if you get a chance read my Garage Sale Mania post below.
Tomorrow is Clark’s eco baby shower and I’m looking forward to it. Deets and pics to come!
