The photo above say’s motherhood because it’s the day I became a mom- when Tristan arrived, April 22, 2007!!! And- the fact he chose, Earth Day of all day’s to arrive…I just couldn’t believe it! He is a year old and I can’t believe that either! He came unannounced and did not wait for the midwive’s to arrive! My mom & husband were there to catch him. He was here in no time. My labor was swift and before I knew it,  Baby Tristan came out safe & sound in our own home!  One of the most memorable days of my life!!!!!!!

Tah Dah! Do you love it, or what? Woot, woot!

 Okay, all, I’ve been posting about the makeover of my site for 2 1/2 months now and I’m finally here!  I’m so excited about this move. I do feel bare and naked without the banners and what not! BUT, all the anticipation was well worth it!  Check out the new layout design!! Isn’t it ECO-FABULOUS??!!  Shout out to Heather at Girly Blogz Design, (www.girlyblogzdesign.com) for the re-vamp. What a fantastic job! I’m so pleased!

 In the world of blogging, I’m behind on challenges and everything else…but now that my son’s 1st birthday is gone and just a memory-my mind is free again! I think…LOL! It was fun planning and getting everything ready for eco-friendly birthday- we managed to pull it together (just by the hair on our chiny, chiny chins!). I’ll post more on this later. For those of you who’ve been visiting- thank you for sticking around for the transformation!!! For those of you who are new…WELCOME…to my great green adventure!!! I hope you’ll enjoy visiting while I continue to build and create my site. AND- just so you know- there’s a high chance I’ll be re-posting in order to preserve content from the older host…so pls. bear with me! In the meantime, hang in there for blogging normally will resume as soon as humanly possible! Wordpress is “greek” to me so I’m learning it all…  :) Don’t forget to check out the giveaway, if you haven’t already!

 I wasn’t planning to host another giveaway so soon…but…the Tree In A Box company gave word that they  would like to donate a Baby Tree seed kit  to ONE LUCKY WINNER. Since Arbor Day is tomorrow and Mother’s Day is just around the corner- this seed kit is the perfect for both occassions and is a wonderful gift for expectant mom’s and new moms alike!  The Blue Spruce is one of the most admired and widely known of all North American evergreens. A mountain tree, it has been successfully planted over most of the USA and throughout Europe.  My favorite trees are the Giant Sequioa’s or the California Redwoods- I couldn’t even imagine life without these living beings. They’re so majestic and mystical. Deforestation is taking place all over the world – even in our National Parks! It is an unnatural process and takes many, many, years for the “cut” areas to grow back! Besides, that, these area look so devastating! Trees provide oxygen and absord carbon dioxide…you know, the stuff, that causes global warming!!! So, the more trees we plant and the less trees we cut down- the better! Better for our atmosphere, our health, our soils, and what about all that shade they provide!!
